Will the red wigglers take over my garden?
In nature the red wigglers will not easily survive unless conditions are ideal: no predators like our hadida; a constant supply of fresh food just starting to degrade; never too dry, never too hot, etc. This is unlikely.
How soon before I can start?
To set up takes about 30 minutes. Then it takes about 3 months for your bin to settle and start to produce worm tea.
Does is smell bad?
Not at all, unless you are doing something terribly wrong – like putting meat in. Or too little calcium like egg shells
